Technology Stuff

Probably my favourite piece of technology is my old mobile phone. My parents gave it to me for christmas like 4 years ago. I loved it because I could make some horrible photos of my best friend (the camera of my phone was perfect fot that), listening to music, send messages, watch and make videos. Also I could safe files in it. I used it everyday for my entartaiment, my phone was my salvation when classes were too boring. I liked it because I found it cute and comfortable, very useful.
Unfortunately I do know how my life is whitout it (I know that sounds too dramatic, but at the beginnig was horrible)  I always thought it would be terrible if my phone disappeared because I had so many important things in it. The thing is, that one day I went to preu and simply lost it, I really don't know if someone stole my phone or It was my fault. I guess I'll never know but i miss it so much...

Hayao Miyazaki

He is a Japanese film director, animator, mangaka, producer, and screenwriter. Miyazaki was born in Tokyo in 1941. He started his career in 1961 when he joined Toei Animation, since then he hasn't stopped working. He has had many successful films such as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Castle of Cagliostro, Castle in the sky and Ponyo. Because of his hard work has been rewarded with the Oscar and a Golden Berlin Bear.

I like Miyazaki's work (although has been focused on children) because usually contains subjects that are very important and sometimes we just forgot about it, like humanity's relationships with technology and nature. His films are full of anti-war messages, individualism, responsibility, etc. Furthermore, It's very often that the lead characters of his movies are strong and independent young women, that sort of things are not very common on animation motion pictures. And also,  adding all the wisdom of the East.

For all of that he has earned public recognition to the point of being called the Japanese  Disney.

See you next time...

The King

Elvis Aaron Presley is one of the world's best known american artists, he was a singer and actor. But it was his music that made him world famous, and what has become an icon of pop culture. He has been a big influence on hundreds of artists today and that's because he played many musical genres; including country, pop ballads, blues and, of course, rock and roll.
I love his music because of his sweet, but at the same time, strong voice, his passionate interpretation and his beautiful lyrics. All of his music is pure perfection for me. That can make you cry of emotion. If I had to pick one of his songs, I'd probably choose Always in my mind because of the lyrics and although It's pretty sad I think It's really beautiful and listen to it, serves to rethink certain things.

Here's another song that I really like

So, now I hope you can listen to Elvis' fantastic music

See you next time...

Me

My name is María Ignacia ( I like my full name and I really hate when people call me just María)

I was born in Santiago on 24th, september of 1993. So I'm 19 now. I think that day was friday, I love fridays.
My family is little. It's just my dad, my mom and my younger brother, Raúl (he's 16). And I love them very much. Oh, and a few months ago, we have a new member in our family, it's our puppy dog, Simona, she is an absolutely adorable bichon frisé.
I studied in a horrible school that names "Melford College" (even the name is bad) I studied there like 5 years. Then I went to school named "Liceo N°1, Javiera Carrera" I finished my high school years in there, that was an amazing time. And now I'm studying cine y televisión in Universidad de Chile.
I'm very lazy so I don't make any kind of exercise, although I should have. The things I do like is reading novels, watch movies and tv (a lot) shows like "Friends", "Modern Family", "Aquí no hay quien viva", etc. If you don't notice yet I love comedy, because laughing is a good thing. I like listening to music, too. I think I have a very eclectic taste for music; I love Elvis, Neil Sedaka, Paul Anka, The Everly Brothers and so many people who are dead now (ha ha) But I also like Queen, Pulp, Mika, Fito Páez, Julieta Venegas, Luis Miguel, Miguel Bosé, Miranda and the list could have no end.

See you next time...
