Favorite subject

This semester I'm not particular excited by any subject, rather say they are all pretty boring to me. However last semester my favorite subject was classic cinema. Basically the professor talked about the history of cinema, its evolution and the change through time and the people that influenced the development of the film industry. We watched extracts of films in classes, and talked about its importance for the history of the cinema. Also I think we learned so much more, like about the art in general, culture, etc.
And I really think that you're right Belén, when you say that a teacher can makes the difference because there's nothing better than a teacher with passion for what he's doing. Besides if a boring, slow and plain person had done that class, it would have been awful and a complete torture.
Anyway, that didn't happen and we learned about different actors, directors and writers. We made quite interesting and interactive works that we could enjoy too.
I think I liked classic cinema because the teacher was a very particular and interesting person, and because in the school I always liked history, I have always excited to know about things that happened years ago, but still affecting us today.
So how couldn't I like?

Santiago

I'm a city person, I've always loved it. I like that everything is in here and don't really bothers me the noise, the crowd and our frantic lifestyle. I can say that I actually enjoy a little. Because that's only the price you have to pay for living in a metropoli and the things that brings, like education, health, entertainment etc. However I hate the pollution, I think that's the worst part of all, of course, because directly attacks our health.
I can understand the people who likes the countryside, the quiet and the peaceful life, but I really think it's too boring, and for me it's good just for a while. I don't know if you have noticed but everything in some of the other regions of the country seem so slow. That really stresses me, and it's only because we run all the day here and I'm so use it. I think that's weird because everyone is always complaining about the city but I like it, is my home, the place I've ever been and where I grew up.
A site I like from the city is really the center, I studied there so I know the place well, I like the people there, always in a hurry, the national monuments, the parks and the encounter of different cultures. For all those things I love Santiago I know it's not the best capital of the world and very bad things too, but I think has its charm in any way.
What do you think?
